1. Definition
1. Conductive fiber:
All or part of fibers made of conductive materials or sub-conductive materials such as metals or conductive organic substances and antistatic agents.
General understanding: Conductivity of conductive fiber>10-7Ω·cm, or resistivity<107Ω·cm.
2. Anti-static fiber
It is a general term for a class of fibers (such as antistatic agents added to materials or fibers produced by antistatic agent treatment) that are made by physical, chemical or physicochemical methods and processes to meet the requirements of electrostatic conductivity.
3. Electrostatic conductor
Under any conditions, materials with volume resistivity ≤106Ω·cm (ie, conductivity ≥10-6s/m) and solid surfaces with surface resistivity ≤107Ω.
4. Electrostatic subconductor
Under any conditions: objects with volume resistivity ≥106Ω·m and less than 1010Ω·m.
Solid surface with surface resistivity> 107 Ω and <1011 Ω.
5. Static non-conductor
Under any conditions, materials with volume resistivity ≥1010Ω·m (ie conductivity ≤10-10s/m) and solid surfaces with surface resistivity ≥1011Ω.
6. Surface resistance and surface resistivity
After a given energization time, the ratio of the DC voltage applied to the two electrodes on the surface of the material to the current between the two electrodes is called the surface resistance, and the possible polarization phenomenon on the two electrodes is negligible.
Surface resistivity is a physical quantity that characterizes the electrical conductivity of an object's surface. It is the resistance value between two pairs of sides of a square material, and has nothing to do with the thickness of the object and the size of the square.
Note: The unit of surface resistivity is ohm (Ω).
7. Volume resistance and volume resistivity
After a given energization time, the ratio of the DC voltage applied to the two lead electrodes that are in contact on the opposite sides of a piece of material and the current between the two electrodes is called the volume resistance. The polarization phenomenon is negligible.
Volume resistivity is a physical quantity that characterizes the electrical conductivity of an object. It is the resistivity of the material per unit cross-sectional area and unit length.
Note: The unit of volume resistivity is ohm·m (Ω·m)
