Conductive Yarn for work uniforms

Anti-static work uniforms refer to uniforms sewn with anti-static fabrics to prevent static electricity accumulation on clothing.


The antistatic fabric is a fabric obtained by mixing conductive fibers, antistatic synthetic fibers, or a mixture of the two at approximately equal intervals or uniformly during weaving. Conductive fiber refers to a general term for fibers made of conductive materials or sub-conductive materials that use metal or organic materials in whole or in part. Its volume resistivity ρv is between 10^4 and 10^9Ω/cm. According to the distribution of the conductive component in the fiber, the conductive fiber can be divided into a uniform conductive component type, a conductive component covering type and a conductive component composite type. At present, the vast majority of anti-static fabrics are made of conductive fibers, especially the composite type of conductive components, that is, the most common use of composite fibers.


Practice has shown that anti-static work uniforms can effectively prevent static electricity in clothing and eliminate or reduce the hazards of electrostatic discharge. When the operator is performing various activities, the static voltage value on the clothing has greatly exceeded the electrostatic discharge damage threshold of many electrostatic sensitive devices, so when touching or approaching these components, it may cause damage to the sensitive devices. It should also be pointed out that it is generally believed that wearing a cotton work uniform can prevent static electricity from accumulating on the garment and is therefore safe. In fact, this view has one-sidedness, which is basically the case only when the relative humidity of the air is higher than 50%; and when the relative humidity is relatively low, the charge of pure cotton products increases significantly. Tests show that when the relative humidity is lower than 30%, the charge capacity of pure cotton fabrics is equivalent to polyester; and when the relative humidity is lower than 20%, the charge capacity of cotton fabrics is even higher than some chemical fiber fabrics. Therefore, in areas with dry climates, pure cotton products cannot be expected to eliminate the static electricity hazard of clothing under any circumstances. Based on the above reasons, in order to effectively prevent the electrostatic discharge hazard of clothes static electricity, the operator must wear anti-static work uniform.
