Advantages of compact spinning
1. Before the twisting, the single fibers in the sliver are fully straightened, parallel to each other, and arranged closely. Therefore, at the twisting roller jaw (also called the twist roller, because it has the effect of preventing twist transmission), the sliver diameter It becomes very small, so the "twisting triangle area" is basically eliminated. Because the single fiber is fully straight and parallel before twisting, no hairiness sticks out of the sliver main body, so the yarn hairiness is very small, especially for hairiness over 3mm less.
2. In the spun yarn, since the single fibers are twisted in a straight and parallel state, when the single yarn is pulled, the single fiber is basically subjected to the same force, so the compact spinning strength is higher than the traditional single yarn. And because the single fibers in the compact yarn are arranged closely, they have a large cohesion, which also helps to increase the strength of the yarn.
3. In the compact spinning process, the slivers are aggregated after the draft specified in the process is completed. Therefore, the unevenness of the slivers has not been greatly improved, but it has a finishing effect on the slivers in the accumulation area. The twisting of the twisting roller jaw is not as strong as the traditional process when the fiber is twisted. Therefore, the tight yarn has unevenness, and the coarse and detailed indicators are better than the traditional yarn.

Due to the above characteristics of compact yarn, it provides very good conditions for the next process, and the compact yarn has less hairiness, so it reduces the pressure of sizing and burning, and greatly reduces the introduction of compact yarn when weft yarns are used in shuttleless loom. Weft resistance improves the efficiency of the loom.
5. The compact yarn fibers are closely arranged and have a smaller diameter than traditional yarns of the same number. Therefore, the cloth woven with the same warp and weft density has good air permeability, and the cloth surface is smooth and smooth. It is an ideal yarn for high-end textiles.
Disadvantages of compact spinning
1. The high cost of compact spinning equipment increases equipment investment in spinning mills.
2. There is an air suction port corresponding to each yarn. The difference between the negative pressure spindles at the air suction port is large. If you want to improve the consistency, you need to add energy to each suction pipe (or each spindle position). Control valve for automatic air volume adjustment. This is not only costly but also difficult to maintain.
3. Except for the improvement of the hairiness index, the other indexes of the yarn such as dryness, coarseness, and detail have not improved much.
4. After the compact yarn goes through the winding process, more hairiness will be added.
